Grow a Garden Halloween Event: Ghoul Garden Schedule, Countdown & Rewards
The Grow a Garden Halloween event is Ghoul Garden — a spooky event area with its own currency, Candy Corn, rotating shops and weekly Saturday runs that keep adding new pets and plants. This hub tracks the schedule with a live countdown, explains how to farm Candy Corn, and lists everything worth chasing before the event wraps up around November 1.
Quick answer:
Ghoul Garden launched on October 11, 2026 and now returns every Saturday morning Eastern Time — recent runs opened between 10:00 and 11:00 AM ET. The next run is expected Saturday, October 24 at about 10:40 AM ET. The final expansion, Ghoul Garden Part 3, is expected October 25, and the event is reported to end around November 1, 2026.
Countdown to the next Ghoul Garden run
This countdown targets the event's observed weekly slot — Saturdays at about 10:40 AM ET. It is an expected time based on the runs so far, not an official announcement. While you wait, check the live stock tracker so you do not miss shop restocks.
Latest — October 20, 2026: Event guides report that the Ghoul Garden Part 3 expansion is expected on October 25, 2026, with new pets and plants, and that this final stretch runs until about November 1, 2026. Reported additions are listed in the Part 3 section below — we flag anything that is not yet confirmed in game.
What Is the Ghoul Garden Halloween Event?
Ghoul Garden is Grow a Garden's Halloween event for 2026. It opened on October 11, 2026 with a dedicated event area — the Halloween Market — where everything runs on an event-only currency, Candy Corn, instead of Sheckles. You earn Candy Corn from event activities, then spend it in the event shops on limited-time seeds, eggs, pets and decor that are not available in the regular shops.
The 2026 shops reported by event guides are:
- Scary Seeds Shop — event seeds, including the Divine Fang Root.
- Creepy Critters Shop — event pets and the Spooky Egg, with stock that rotates.
- Frightening Fauna — the Haunted Egg and high-end pets, including the Eyeball Monster.
- Devilish Decor — Halloween furniture and cosmetics.
Several event guides report that the Halloween Market itself appears once per hour for about 15 minutes, so timing your logins around the top of the hour matters. Two things to know before you start: pets cannot be equipped on the Ghoul Garden plot (they only work in your regular garden), and everything priced in Candy Corn disappears when the event ends — unspent currency is wasted currency.
Ghoul Garden Schedule: How the Weekly Runs Work
After launching on October 11, Ghoul Garden settled into a weekly Saturday cadence. Three runs have happened so far, each one opening on Saturday morning Eastern Time and layering more content on top of the runs before it — new seeds, pets and features keep expanding the event rather than resetting it. Missing a week is not fatal: the event returns the next Saturday, usually with more added than the run before.
Recent runs have opened at 10:00, 10:40 and 11:00 AM ET, so the honest summary is a Saturday window of about 10:00–11:00 AM ET, with 10:40 AM ET as the most recent slot. That is exactly what our countdown above targets: the next Saturday at 14:40 UTC (10:40 AM EDT). The developer confirms each run closer to the day, so always treat the slot as expected until it is posted.
| Region | Expected run time (Saturday) |
|---|---|
| US Eastern (ET) | 10:40 AM |
| US Pacific (PT) | 7:40 AM |
| UK (BST) | 3:40 PM |
| Central Europe (CEST) | 4:40 PM |
| Pakistan (PKT) | 7:40 PM |
| India (IST) | 8:10 PM |
| Japan (JST) | 11:40 PM |
| Eastern Australia (AEST) | 12:40 AM Sunday |
The week's other fixtures keep running alongside it — the midweek Watering Wednesday and the game's regular update drops — but Ghoul Garden is the Saturday anchor of the Halloween season. The next general game update is also expected on October 24, the same day as the next run.
How to Get Candy Corn in Grow a Garden
Candy Corn is the event's money: every shop item, egg and pet in the Halloween Market is priced in it. There are three main ways to earn it.
1. Fill the Witch's Cauldron
The main farming loop. Submit crops to the Witch's Cauldron at the centre of the event area; each crop adds points toward filling it, and a filled cauldron pays out Candy Corn and event rewards such as Spooky Eggs and Pumpkin Crates. Guides report that crops score by rarity — roughly 1 point for Common up to 8 for Transcendent, with small bonuses for Silver, Gold and Rainbow variants — so feeding it your rarer, less-needed crops fills it far faster than bulk commons. Guides also report a short cooldown of about 2 minutes between fillings.
2. Feed the Jack-o-Lantern NPC
A giant Jack-o-Lantern NPC appears for about 10 minutes every 2 hours. Give it Halloween plants, or crops carrying Halloween mutations, and it pays a small amount of Candy Corn — with a chance, per guides, of a Spooky Egg or Pumpkin Crate instead. It is not the fastest farm, but it is nearly free if you are already online when it appears.
3. Play the Harvest Reaper and Grave Digger cycles
The Harvest Reaper mini-event drops Candy Corn bundles among its rewards every 4 hours, and the Grave Digger digging event runs every 2 hours. Neither replaces cauldron farming, but both top it up while you play.
A realistic budget check: the event's headline pet, the Eyeball Monster, costs 30,000 Candy Corn. That is a serious grind — plan your farming around the cauldron first, catch Jack-o-Lantern windows when they appear, and do not sit on a big balance in the final days: when the event ends, unspent Candy Corn buys nothing. Our Grow a Garden value list tracks what the event pets are worth once they start changing hands.
Harvest Reaper Mini-Event: Every 4 Hours
The Harvest Reaper is a spectral NPC mini-event inside Ghoul Garden, reported to appear every 4 hours. While it is active, players contribute the crops it requests — sometimes specific mutated variants — and the lanterns around it shift from amber to azure as contributions land, building toward server-wide bonuses.
Its headline reward is the Severed Spine seed (reported as a Prismatic, multi-harvest plant). Guides report that Severed Spine distributions are capped at 25,000 per Reaper cycle, with plans to raise the cap to 50,000 — so if you want one, be online early in a cycle rather than late. Other reported rewards include Spooky Chests, Spooky Eggs, Halloween Gear Boxes and Candy Corn bundles. Because the 4-hour cycle is not aligned to the clock for every server, the practical tip is simple: when you see the Reaper announced in your server, drop what you are doing and contribute the requested crops first.
Ghoul Garden Event Pets & Items
Everything below is priced in Candy Corn unless it comes from an event activity. Prices and odds are as reported by current event guides (see sources) — shop stock rotates, so an item being listed here does not mean it is in stock right now.
| Item | Type | How to get it | Why players want it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eyeball Monster | Divine pet | 30,000 Candy Corn — Frightening Fauna | Gaze every ~20 min: cuts pet cooldowns, advances growth, can apply the Spooky mutation. The event's most expensive pet — full guide. |
| Reaper | Divine pet | 140 Candy Corn — Creepy Critters | Fruit Sacrifice: sacrifices 4 fruits to grant free XP to pets, on a ~22 min cooldown. |
| Gargoyle | Mythical pet | Haunted Egg (1,500 Candy Corn), reported 9.5% hatch | Stone Form: turns to stone and speeds up nearby pets' cooldowns or XP gain. |
| Wolf | Legendary pet | 80 Candy Corn — Creepy Critters | Wolf Howl: chance at Moonlit mutations, with a Werewolf transformation. |
| Black Cat | Mythical pet | Spooky Egg (30 Candy Corn), reported 8.5% hatch | Witch's Nap: naps by a cauldron and grows nearby fruit larger — bigger fruit sells for more. |
| Headless Horseman | Prismatic pet | Spooky Egg — guides report a 0.5% hatch chance | The Spooky Egg's chase pet: haunts a high-level pet, resets it to level 1 and applies a powerful chaotic mutation. |
| Goblin | Rare pet | Grave Digger event only — not sold for Candy Corn | Looter: grabs a random player and carries them to you. One guide reports a ~5.81% dig chance — treat that figure as unconfirmed. |
| Fang Root | Divine crop | 18,500 Candy Corn — Scary Seeds Shop, reported ~1.5% stock chance | Event-exclusive seed; guides report its fruit averages around 120,000 Sheckles and it is multi-harvest. |
Chasing a specific pet? Eggs are a lottery and shop pets are a queue — check what each pet trades for on the value list, and run any trade through the pet trading value calculator before you accept it. Values are community estimates — verify high-value trades in game.
Ghoul Garden Part 3 Additions (Reported)
The final expansion — called Ghoul Garden Part 3, or Ghoul Garden 3 — is expected on October 25, 2026 and reported to run until November 1, 2026. Event guides published in the last two days report these additions:
- New pets: Scarab and Tomb Marmot. One guide also mentions a Lich Divine pet tied to a puzzle quest — that one is unconfirmed at the time of writing.
- New plants: Wereplant (Divine), Devilroot (Legendary), Glass Kiwi (Mythical), Ghost Bush (Uncommon), and the Severed Spine (Prismatic) from the Harvest Reaper.
- New decor: a Sarcophagus and a Spell Book in the Devilish Decor shop.
Read this list with care: some "Part 3" articles circulating right now describe the 2025 Halloween event, not this year's. Everything above comes from coverage of the 2026 event published or updated in the last two days, but pre-launch and early-launch reports can still be wrong in the details. We re-check Part 3 items in game at launch and mark this section reviewed once we have.
Ghoul Garden: Weekly Saturday Schedule & Candy Corn Prices
Ghoul Garden is no longer a one-time event — it now returns every Saturday, layering new pets, crops and features on top each week. Track the next run, Candy Corn prices and every new item right here.
How Ghoul Garden Works
The event runs on a separate Ghoul Garden plot where you earn the event currency, Candy Corn, and spend it in the Halloween Market shops. Key rule most players miss: pets are disabled on the Ghoul Garden plot — equip combat/utility pets in your regular garden instead.
🔁 Weekly rhythm: 3 Saturday runs have happened so far (Oct 11, 17 and the Ghoul Garden 2 run). Each Saturday adds more content — seeds, pets and features keep expanding per run.
New Pets & Crops (Candy Corn Prices)

Eyeball Monster in Grow a Garden: Price, Gaze Ability & Is It Worth It?
The Eyeball Monster is the headline pet of the 2026 Ghoul Garden Halloween event — a Divine pet with a 30,000 Candy Corn price tag, the highest in the event. Its Gaze ability speeds up your whole garden at once, but there is one catch most players miss: it cannot be used on the Ghoul Garden plot itself. Here is what it does, how to buy it, and who should actually spend the Candy Corn.
What Is the Eyeball Monster?
The Eyeball Monster is a new Divine pet added with the 2026 Halloween event, Ghoul Garden. Per current event guides, it is the most expensive pet in the event — nothing else in the Frightening Fauna shop costs more. Unlike most chase pets it is not an egg hatch: it is a direct shop purchase, so there are no odds working against you. The only randomness is the shop's stock rotation.
| Detail | Eyeball Monster |
|---|---|
| Rarity | Divine |
| Event | Ghoul Garden — Halloween 2026 |
| Price | 30,000 Candy Corn |
| Sold at | Frightening Fauna stall (event area) |
| Ability | Gaze — about every 20 minutes |
| Usable on Ghoul Garden plot | No — regular garden only |
| How obtained | Direct purchase when in stock (no hatch odds) |
All event context — dates, the weekly Saturday runs and the full pet list — is on our Grow a Garden Halloween event hub.
How to Get the Eyeball Monster
- Earn Candy Corn first. The price is 30,000 and there is no point camping the shop without it. The fastest route is filling the Witch's Cauldron; the Jack-o-Lantern NPC and the Harvest Reaper cycle top it up. Full farming breakdown on the event hub.
- Head to the Frightening Fauna stall in the Ghoul Garden event area while the Halloween event is running.
- Check the stock. The stall's inventory is randomised and refreshes regularly — one guide reports a new roll every five minutes. If the Eyeball Monster shows as out of stock, you cannot buy it in that rotation.
- Buy it for 30,000 Candy Corn when it appears, then equip it in your regular garden (see the catch below). If a future patch changes the price, the price shown in the shop is the one that counts.
Opportunity cost, in plain numbers: 30,000 Candy Corn is also 20 Haunted Eggs at 1,500 each, or 1,000 Spooky Eggs at 30 each, at the prices guides currently report. That is the real decision — one guaranteed Divine pet versus a lot of hatch rolls — and the verdict section below works through it.
What Does Gaze Do? The Ability, Explained
About every 20 minutes, the Eyeball Monster flies out and stares at four different pets, fruit or plants in your garden. What happens depends on what it targets, per current event guides:
- Pets get a 4-minute reduction on their passive ability cooldowns — your other pets simply fire more often.
- Fruit gets a reported 20% chance of receiving the Spooky mutation.
- Plants get a 10-minute growth advancement — crops finish sooner.
What that adds up to (worked example)
Gaze fires about 3 times an hour and hits 4 targets each time — up to 12 target effects per hour. Best-case arithmetic, assuming every target were the same type:
Real gardens are a mix, so your actual return lands somewhere between those lines — but the pattern is the point: the busier and more valuable your garden, the more Gaze pays you back. Guides note that high-tier pets with strong passives benefit most, because a 4-minute cooldown cut is worth more on a powerful ability than on a weak one.
The Catch: It Does Not Work on the Ghoul Garden Plot
This is the detail that burns players. Pets cannot be equipped on the Ghoul Garden event plot — the Eyeball Monster included. Buy it in the event area, by all means, but it will sit idle there. The intended loop, per the guides covering it, is:
- Play the event plot to earn Candy Corn (cauldron, Jack-o-Lantern, Reaper).
- Spend the Candy Corn at the event shops, Eyeball Monster included.
- Deploy the Eyeball Monster back in your regular garden, where Gaze mutates fruit, speeds plants and refreshes your other pets.
If your only goal is farming the event itself, this pet does not help you farm faster. What it does is make your main garden — the one you keep after Halloween ends — more productive.
Is the Eyeball Monster Worth 30,000 Candy Corn?
Worth it if:
- You play daily and keep a full, active regular garden — Gaze's value scales with how much is growing and how many strong pets you run.
- You are already swimming in Candy Corn from cauldron farming and have the event's cheaper items covered.
- You want the event's flagship Divine pet while it is directly purchasable — no 0.5%-style hatch gamble involved.
Skip it (for now) if:
- Your Candy Corn is tight. Eggs and the Fang Root seed compete for the same currency, and 20 Haunted Eggs buy a lot of Gargoyle chances.
- You mostly play the event plot — remember, it does nothing there.
- You are a casual player whose garden sits idle most of the day; a 20-minute ability cycle earns little in an empty garden.
One deadline to respect: you can only buy it while the Halloween event runs, and current reports point to the event ending around November 1, 2026. If you are going to grind for it, start now — and do not leave a huge Candy Corn balance unspent at the end, because event currency buys nothing afterwards. If the Eyeball Monster starts changing hands in player trades later, any price will be a community estimate, not an official value — check the Grow a Garden value list and verify high-value trades in game before you commit.

The developer confirms each run closer to the day, so treat the time as expected, not guaranteed.
How do I get Candy Corn in Grow a Garden?
The two main routes are the Witch's Cauldron — submit crops to fill it, with rarer crops scoring more points — and the Jack-o-Lantern NPC, which appears for about 10 minutes every 2 hours and pays Candy Corn for Halloween plants or crops with Halloween mutations. The Harvest Reaper mini-event also drops Candy Corn bundles.
When does the Grow a Garden Halloween event end?
Current reports point to the Ghoul Garden 3 stretch ending around November 1, 2026, with the weekly Saturday runs continuing through the Halloween season until then. End dates for live events can move, so check this page — we update it at every weekly drop.

Event guides report new pets (Scarab, Tomb Marmot) and new plants (Wereplant, Devilroot, Glass Kiwi, Ghost Bush, and the Severed Spine from the Harvest Reaper), plus new Devilish Decor items. Some of these details are pre-launch reports and may change at release.
Is the Eyeball Monster worth it in Grow a Garden?
At 30,000 Candy Corn it is the most expensive pet in the event, per current guides. Its Gaze ability fires about every 20 minutes in your regular garden — cutting pet cooldowns, advancing plant growth and giving fruit a chance at the Spooky mutation. It is worth it for active players with busy gardens; casual players will usually get more from spreading the same Candy Corn across eggs and items. Pets cannot be equipped on the Ghoul Garden plot itself, so it only works in your regular garden. Full breakdown: Eyeball Monster guide.
Do pets work on the Ghoul Garden plot?
No. Guides report that pets cannot be equipped on the Ghoul Garden event plot. Earn your Candy Corn on the event plot, then deploy pets like the Eyeball Monster in your regular garden, where their abilities work normally.
